Problem/Objective Tree - This six-page handout proposes a very practical and participative method to analyze the problems that an organization or a community faces and to set up objectives to respond to these problems. It can be used as the first step to prepare a logical framework.
World Citizenship - This nine-page handout present the challenges of globalization in today’s world and explain why education to citizenship is necessary. To some, citizenship education is about instilling patriotism, love for country, internalization of the institutions of the nation State and participating in elections in democratic regimes. To others, citizenship education is about recognizing basic rights of all persons, irrespective of their membership in particular States, it is an education for egalitarian cosmopolitanism and participation in civic and community associations or social movement. Global citizenship will not only enable the effective work of global institutions, but will support those actions at the local and national level that permit global cooperation, governance and stability.
What is gender?-  Harriet Bjerrum Nielsen is a researcher, former director of the Centre for Gender Research at the University of Oslo, Norway. In that 17-page resource handout, she offers us a brilliant analysis of the concept of gender, based not on an ideological approach, but on empirical research conducted over the years, from the observation of girls and boys in school as well as in non-formal educational organizations.  This article will be of great use to educators and all citizens who wish to free  society and individuals from stereotypes and discrimination based on gender.
